So Kong Dong Tofu House in Edison

Surprisingly empty anytime I go there considering how great the food is. They are very accommodating to large groups (I went there with six other friends) and they serve us all very quickly. I love this place so much and I come here whenever I'm in town.

Food is good, I went on a Monday afternoon, place was quite empty. Didn’t have any issue with waitress service.

This spot provides wonderful service and delightful meals. One of the best spot in the city. The food and drinks arrived rapidly and the rates were economical. Will definitely recommend this place.

I usually get food here with my family. I would say the food quality is similar to that of the restaurants in the hmart next door though.

I ordered a mushroom tofu soup. The tofu is silky soft have great tofu taste. The service is fast. I would definitely come back again.

The food was overall amazing and staff were friendly and polite. Side dishes like the fish cake and spicy cucumber taste great. Menu has a good variety of choices and every dish is delicious especially the Nakji-noodles in my opinion. From my experience, staff were honest too because I had forgotten my wallet at the place once and they had kept it with them secured, not a single dollar touched at all. So no complaints and just a really phenomenal restaurant that I’ll be coming back again.

Very nice and beautiful atmosphere for a relaxing dinner. Services were friendly and helpful. The food was surprising good though the menu doesn't have as many options as others. Would be great to have more types of "small dishes". Only four plus a salad were offered but it was done well.

Pricing is reasonable, service is fast and attentive and food is genuinely good. One of the best Korean restaurants in Edison NJ.

The food was amazing! The included appetizers were very tasty. The cucumbers with the red pepper pickling topping was my favorite. And I Love the creamy sesame dressing on the salad. I got the beef tofu soup spicy and let me tell you it was perfectly spicy. I am someone who likes to eat and sweat and this was the perfect amount of spicey food sweat! The fried dumplings were out of this world. And to top it off the price for the soup is super reasonable!

Food is decent. I had better tofu pot. Tried their beef one and it was just little mince beef. Also had the bibimpop and beef soup rice cake. Bonchan was not great and very limited. Kimchi looks like store made. Nothing much to say. Just alright.

Took my daughter for lunch. I liked my Dolsot Bibimbap, but LOVED her Bulgogi w/ Tofu. I stole a bite, and glad I did. The price is fair. They give you plenty of side dishes. I thought the Kimchi to be delicious, just on the mild, spicy safe side. You can pick the spice level on select entrees. They serve delicious tea in these insulated cups that keep it hot for the duration. Customer service was a bit underwhelming. I wanted more tea, however, we were not checked on after our meal was served. Not even looked at. We had to call for our check. The place itself is very clean, music played at the perfect volume and the decor is cool and artsy.

Average experience. Food was standard Korean, but disappointed with seafood pancake as there was very little seafood, and the beef ribs (mostly onions). Service was alright, refilled water a couple of times but for some odd reason, only filled it for half the party on the second time but forgot the other half.

The food is regularly well prepared and yummy, staff members provides fantastic service. I really like the cleanliness and vibes. Will visit here again.

As the days get cooler in will eat lunch here at least once a week. It is all you could want fast, clean ,delicious, freindly staff, an very affordable.

Being a die hard fan of Korean food and having dined at multiple Korean places , I wouldn't call this one as a good one. The food was mediocre and the staff was not really interested in serving us. Probably because I reached there 1 hour before the closing. The bibimbap was good. But I have tasted better ones. For the price quoted, the food is okay.

Good tofu, kalbi, and seafood pancake. Don't sit by the door, service was very bad today, can't get tea and banchan refilled. Wait staff walking back and forth but no eye contacts.

If you like Tofu soup and you're too far from Fort Lee, go to this place. No waiting line and ample parking.

We love hanging out. Yesterday we went to this superb place which we didn’t know before. We enjoyed a beautiful evening there with very good dishes and a professional team and a professional chef. We put this venue in our phone list and we shall definitely come back very soon. Highly recommended.

My family or I have eaten here monthly since it opened. Recently, the waitress AGGRESSIVELY SHAMED US to increase our tip when we were already tipping 17% - VERY AWKWARD. We paid $11 tip on a $59 meal. As someone who owns a restaurant, this is 100% a faux pas in the service industry. UNDENIABLY TERRIBLE SERVICE. She yelled and made quite a commotion as well, so we did add more tip, even if we knew this was totally outrageous. However, we had to explain that we asked for one of the items to be takeaway (we ordered separately and never ate this in the restaurant). Regardless, she said we had to add more tip for that $20 item but....1. takeaway items are not tipped unless they were delivered (duh!) and 2. if this was part of our order, then $11 tip on a $80 meal is still 14% tip!!!Anyway, they're pretty much wrong in every way, from every angle. This was a really DISGUSTING and DISRESPECTFUL experience from a business I frequent regularly :(

I adore this spot! They serve splendid dishes, their menu is nice, The chef in that restaurant is very experienced, I like very much trying all their dishes. The dishes are consistently tasty, the service towards the clients is efficient. I go often to this place and I was never discontended. I recommend it to all.

Overall the food here is solid, they offer the appetizers for free like many Korean restaurants! The Kimchi, beansprouts, and fish cakes are my girlfriends and my favorites. When you order tofu soup, they come with an egg! They're very fast when it comes to bringing the food to your table so you can expect a short wait and a fast bite! Put the egg in your tofu soup when you get it so it can cook! I get the medium spicy beef tofu soup, just be wary, I can take my spicy and this is about right... not unbearable but it's tolerable. If you can handle spicy, then get this, you won't be disappointed! If you're looking for tofu soup this is the place to go, for other Korean food, you can probably find better.

Amazing food! My friend and I have tried almost everything and it doesn’t disappoint. The staff is great and are always happy to help you and get you whatever you want. The tofu bowls are great on cold days and they come out pretty quick! And if you like meat, try the beef tofu bowl and make it spicy! So good!

Very wonderful experiences when visiting this place =) Delicious and authentic Korean food with a very friendly and very efficient staff. Reasonable prices too. Lots of good options to choose from and very delicious side dishes to accompany every meal. Definitely a must visit if you are looking for a good stop for a delicious and quick Korean meal.
